TRI Gets Full Notice to Proceed on Contract to Support 11 Million Gallon Per Year Renewable Waste-to-Fuels Facility near Reno, Nevada
500 ton per day, state-of the-art Fulcrum BioEnergy facility uses TRI technologies and equipment to cleanly convert garbage to renewable jet fuels for major global airlines
Tahoe-Reno Industrial Park, Nevada November 7, 2017 — ThermoChem Recovery International (TRI), a leading renewable fuels technology company headquartered in Baltimore, MD, today announced that it had recently been given its Full Notice to Proceed by client Fulcrum BioEnergy to supply Fulcrum’s “Project Sierra” with TRI’s proprietary gasification technologies and specialized biorefinery equipment.
“This is a great milestone for TRI, and for our longtime client Fulcrum,” said TRI President & CEO, Dan Burciaga. “Our equipment is being fabricated now, and we are working with Fulcrum and their engineers to make this first-of-a-kind facility a total success for all participants.”
In addition to its gasification-related technology and equipment, TRI is supplying Project Sierra with its proprietary feeder system and a range of engineering services. TRI’s systems can be used to feed and convert Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) feedstock, as in Project Sierra, and can be used with a wide range of other biorefinery feedstocks as well, such as woody biomass, agricultural residues, construction and demolition debris, waste plastics, or a mixture of all these.
